Now that it is 2010, we have to get used to it, but how do we say it? Twenty-ten or two thousand ten. Back a few years ago when it was 1999, we said nineteen ninty-nine. So it would stand to reason that we should now say twenty ten! Is either one more correct than the other? Does it really matter, no not really!
Did you ever wonder where the new year starts first? Well, wonder no more, just look here. I’m taking this time to wish a good New Year to all of you, may it be a year of hope and peace and renewed relationship of families and friends.
I put on my wish list, her CD, and I got it and am so disappointed in it. The signature song doesn’t sound anything like this. Except for one song that’s kind of upbeat, all the others are so boring! And I didn’t think it’s a Christmas CD, but yep, it got Christmas songs on it. No more CD’s for a while, I’m sick of getting burned.
I have taken this pain medication in the past and am glad I don’t anymore. What is with all these recalls, on everything anymore? Are the companies really interested in protecting the public or just their own pocketbooks? It makes me think I smell a Rat!!!!!
I took the time today to read the obituaries in The Toledo Blade and a special lady I know died. What was rare in the reading of her Obituary was this, “requested that none of her many honors and accomplishments be listed in her obituary. She requested that it simply be said “she lived, she tried, she died”. In her case, they would have needed a full page to list all the honors and accomplishments! But for those of us who knew her, we need no such reminder, she was one special lady that I will never forget. Rest in peace! You will be missed!
Another Boxing Day is upon us. I think it has become an annual tradition for me to blog on this subject on this day. Want to learn more about Boxing Day and other holidays, I found this a good site.

First of all, I’ll address the new TV show, Find My Family, this is suppose to be reality TV. In real life, not every reunion is happy! My how times have changed, young girls today keep their babies and raise them alone. Back in the dark ages, like the 40, 50 and 60’s, the girls were sent away to unwed mothers homes and gave up their babies for adoption. The other day I heard a report on TV about the number of teenage unwed mothers, the numbers were so high, I thought it was an error. Nope, it was correct, much to my horror. Then, I just picked up a copy of a local newspaper and saw this headline, “Babies born to couples at local hospitals.” Not one single mother is listed. Not that I think it’s right or wrong not to list all births mind you! What I am saying is, all of this is a sign of the times.
