Google Chrome

I’ve been using Chrome for the past several months and haven’t looked back since. Today, Chrome released extensions & bookmark syncing to their stable channel of Chrome. Here’s a better list of what’s in the latest release including security fixes. Those using Internet Explorer, should stop now & use Firefox or even better… switch to Chrome. Also, those addicted to Firefox, I challenge you to use Chrome for at least two weeks & I’d be surprised if you went back to Firefox.
Google Chrome

When Google Chrome (beta) became available a few days ago, I immediately downloaded it. I’ve been using it quite a bit & it could be something worth switching too. Chrome is based on the AppleWebKit which powers Apple’s Safari & KHTML toolkit on Linux (KDE). This browser renders pages really fast and has a new JavaScript engine called V8. Mozilla has already released a statement saying that their new JavaScript engine called TraceMonkey is a lot faster than V8 & will most likely be included in Firefox 3.1. However, Chrome is still in beta… so they have plenty of time to increase V8’s performance. Another nice feature, is that the tabs within Chrome run as separate processes. So, if something in that tab crashes, you can open Chromes task manager and kill that tab. By just killing that process/tab, the rest of Chrome & other tabs if opened will remain functioning. Mac & Linux versions are still being developed.
Download it and give it a try!
If you downloaded it already, what are your first impressions?
